Modern life is full of Stress factors, which are new to Homo sapiens. They are at the level of evolution so new that they can't even be considered a drop in the ocean.
Many stressors are beyond the individual's control. Examples are air pollution, light pollution and all the nanoparticles and plastic in food. Of course, we all need to ensure that the Earth is protected from all these attacks on nature; Nevertheless, we and our children are already suffering from it.
Intermittent living is a strategy that recreates, in a controlled environment, the ancient living conditions of hunter-gatherers, to which our immune system and metabolism are truly adapted.
